This new group started tentatively in January 2022 with just four or five people but has already expanded with as many as ten or more attending. It is an inclusive group with people from all walks of life and the conversations we enjoy are incredibly diverse and stimulating! Apart from sharing tips about knitting, crochet and crafts, we have talked about life, death and everything in-between!
Chris Ware, Centre Facilitator says I have had the pleasure of teaching two people to knit so far, and of enjoying two-way support with my own knitting and crochet. We have worked on our own projects as well as group ones (including making and joining knitted flags ready for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations in June). Our latest collaborative work has been working out how to make blue and white sunflower brooches to wear in support of Ukrainian refugees.
