Citizens advice is always free, confidential and impartial. Just during 2023 Citizens advice say they helped people with 20,000 of their problems! They advise local people, from all ages and backgrounds, who are facing issues with benefits, consumer rights, debt, education, employment, health, housing, migration, and utilities. Their not a government-funded organisation, although they do campaign and lobby the Government when we can see the same things going wrong again and again for lots of people in Exeter.
They say
No – we are a charity, and we’ve helped people just like your Aunt, right here in Exeter, since 1947. Help us to keep going. Help us now so we’re still here to help your Cousin next year, and your Gran the year after that, and to help YOU in 2026
From April 2025 Citizens Advice are not expecting to receive further funding from Exeter City Council. That’s why they are now appealing directly to you, the people they serve. Most of their staff are volunteers and they already run their charity on a shoestring budget. A crowd funder has been set up so please give what you can. https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/p/advicetofindawayforward
